Imagine a world without corruption!
20 years fighting one of Europe's biggest scourges
The group of Council of Europe experts known as GRECO was created by a Resolution adopted in May 1999 by 17 Council of Europe member states. It aims to strengthen the fight against corruption by monitoring member countries’ compliance with anti-corruption standards. During its two decades of existence, GRECO has helped its members to identify deficiencies in national anti-corruption policies, prompting the necessary legislative, institutional and practical reforms. GRECO currently comprises all 47 Council of Europe member states, plus Belarus and the United States of America.
