The Party

Statistics show that across Europe, women suffer more than men when it comes to vitriolic abuse on social media. This animated video spot tells the story of what begins as a pleasant night out at a party for a group of young women. However, the event soon loses its appeal thanks to the unwelcome intervention of an Internet troll (presumed to be male), who unleashes a stream of hateful comments at the women, in response to a photo that he comes across on social media. The spot ends by encouraging internet users to join the Council of Europe’s No Hate Speech Movement.
