Working for safer, cleaner sport
Ensuring our sports stadiums are safe and eradicating doping and match fixing
Whenever we watch sporting events, we expect them to be fair, both in the sense of the result not being known in advance, and that the sportsmen and women taking part are completely free of performance enhancing substances. If we attend the event itself we also expect the venue where it is held to be a safe place for spectators. The Council of Europe is working to ensure that these expectations are fully met in all sports and all venues.
