ECRI: social services providers should not share the personal data of irregular migrants with immigration authorities

Gianluca Esposito, of the Council of Europe’s Anti-Discrimination department, explains advice recently offered to member states, that social service providers should not share the personal data of irregular migrants with the immigration authorities.  According to the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance, irregular migrants should enjoy the same rights as everyone else in the country concerned.
