Privacy: the Belgian viewpoint

Interview with Philippe de Backer, Belgian state secretary with responsibilty for cyber security and the protection of privacy. He explains the importance of cross-border cooperation in matters of cybersecurity and data protection, and the need for more countries to sign and ratify the Council of Europe’s Convention 108, in order to establish common standards and respect for the rule of law in this area.
