Tackling domestic violence in Turkey
More European countries need to sign the Istanbul Convention
Euronews made a report on the efforts made by Turkey to combat the problem of violence against women, which is widespread in all European countries. The Council of Europe’s convention against domestic and other violence against women is known as the Istanbul convention, because it was opened for signature in Turkey’s largest city. But more of the Council of Europe’s member states need to sign and ratify the convention in order for it to enter into force.
